At the present time The Vernon Golf & Country Club is accepting applications for a Golf Shop Associate for the 2023 golf season.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Head Golf Professional and work closely with the Golf Operations Manager assuming a leadership role within the golf operation.

Responsibilities, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

The role of Golf Shop Associate is a enthusiastic and motivation person who plays a key roll in the golf operation department and enjoys being part of a team. Golf Shop associates are required to give exceptional service to our member and guests contributing to their ongoing enjoyment of the Vernon Golf & Country Club.

Key Responsibilities:

• Arriving on time and in a presentable manner.
• Offering service to members and guests.
• Till and cash handling responsibilities.
• Ensuring that all guests are checked in accurately and accounted for.
• Maintaining control of the first tee and course play.
• Maintain golf shop organization and cleanliness
• Selling merchandise including clothing, accessories, golf equipment, etc.
• Opening/Closing Golf Shop in a timely and effective manner.
• Accurately booking tee times for guests in person and over the phone.
• Effectively communicating with course starters and player assistants.
• Provide leadership to back shop/member services staff.
• Assisting with large groups and tournaments to ensure that guests’ expectations are exceeded.
• Receive delegation from senior staff on various tasks on a daily basis
• Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends

Compensation:

$17 - $19 per Hour.
Term of Employment – Full Time Seasonal (March to October) with the opportunity for part time winter hours.
