Amazing opportunity for Class 3 Drivers in Vernon, BC that are looking for a full time opportunity!

We have an immediate opening for drivers that have a class 3 drivers license with airbrake. Join our outstanding team of people who work and excel in the recycling field! We offer great job stability, great pay compensation- followed by a lot of growth and internal training opportunities. In this role you will be hosting drop offs and curbside recycling collection of incoming and outgoing materials. . We ask that you have a valid Class 3 license for insurance purposes and have held this license for up to one year’s worth of experience. This is a flexible job that allows you flexibility in your real life, and gives you an opportunity to learn and grow into more potential! Shift: Monday-Friday

Time: Between 6-6:30AM- End of Day (8 hr. shifts)

Wage: $24.71 -$25.71 an hour to start + a quick increase with incentives

Area: Vernon, BC

Transit Accessible - MUST HAVE CLASS 1 OR 3 LICNESE TO BE CONSIDERED (needed for company vehicles)

*Plus boot allowance and a signing bonus of $3000*

Responsibilities
  • At least 1 year of a Class 1 and / or 3 motor vehicle experience (with air brakes);
  • Meet deadline requirements and assist team with completion of daily duties
  • Perform curbside recycling collection and drop-offs as needed
  • Direct your way through routes and operate a variety of different trucks.
  • Conduct daily inspection of vehicles and accurately complete related documentation
  • Communicate with supervisor regarding concerns or suggestions
  • Keep track of your schedule and time management

Qualifications
  • Class 1 and / or 3 with air brake endorsement needed in order to be considered
  • Willingness to learn and work with a team is important in this role
  • Minimum 1 year working experience driving with clean drivers abstract
  • Ability to work overtime on an “as-needed” basis if required
  • Experience in the waste and recycling industry or similar industry would be an asset
  • Good communication and time management skills would be very helpful
  • Live in the Vernon, BC area
