Position Summary

UPS is looking for individuals who enjoy working in a physical fast-paced outdoor environment that involves delivering and picking up packages for our customers in Stratford Ontario and surrounding nearby areas. Applicants must have excellent customer service and driving skills.

Qualified applicants must have a valid G or higher license issued in the province of Ontario. Package Delivery Drivers are expected to comply with UPS appearance guidelines. New drivers could cover multiple areas so area knowledge is an asset as well as the ability to read a map.

Compensation

• $17.00 per hour to start (wage progression per Collective Agreement) Top rate $35.89(seniority + 48 months)

Shift

• Start time between 09:00 AM and 10:00 AM
• Finish time will vary daily depending on volume (8 to 10 hours per day)
• Monday to Friday
  

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (35kg) without assistance and 150 lbs. (68kg) with assistance
• Ability to read and navigate with map books
• Valid Ontario G license
• Clean Driver’s Abstract showing:
• No accidents and maximum 5 demerit points for the previous 3 year period (last 36 months)
• No violations for the current year (last 12 months) and no more than 2 violations for the previous 3 year period (last 36 months)
• The delivery experience will be an asset
  

Education/Work Experience

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Possession of a valid G driver’s license
• No at-fault accidents within the last 3 years no violations within the last 12 months
• Strong customer service skills
