Role and Responsibilities

Participate in application development from ideation to deployment as part of an agile, distributed, multidisciplinary team.

We are seeking a full-time Full Stack Developer.

Reporting to the Lead Architect in our Aquaculture Intelligence division, the Full Stack Developer is responsible for application development from ideation to deployment and be part of an agile, distributed and multidisciplinary team. Also:

• Work with UI/UX Designers to convert designs to visual elements.
• Work with Architects to adhere and follow technical specs.
• Work with Customer Care to provide smarter and more intuitive tools.
• Maintain and help optimize existing systems.

The candidate must be adept in web development with frameworks such as Spring/Springboot and Angular 6+.

Required Skills and Experience

• Development experience for both mobile and desktop
• At least 5 years of web development
• Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Strong Angular knowledge
• Strong Java knowledge, particularly in combination with Spring/Springboot
• Strong knowledge of MongoDB (or similar NoSQL solution) and/or relational databases
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong focus on being part of an agile team

Education

Degree in Computer Science or Engineering however, experience and skillset will be considered.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

The following will be considered a plus

• Experience with Python
• Experience with DevOps & agile methodologies
• Experience with AWS and Cloud computing
• Desire to constantly learn new technologies and tolerance to change.
