JOB DESCRIPTION
• Assist the Rooms Division Manager in leading, motivating and developing the Front Desk team
• Take the lead in training all Front Desk employees on roomMaster & Travelclick processes and procedures
• Intermittently cover Night Audit on days off and vacation days (only in the absence of the Night Audit cover employee)
• Assist with making Reservations, in order to maximize productivity and guest satisfaction
• Follows all Support Office Accounts Receivable practices and ensures all procedures are followed to maintain desired outcomes
• Actively participate, coach and lead associates in guest problem resolution processes to ensure that guest service opportunities are resolved quickly and addressed effectively
• Actively work to improve the guest experience through designing and implementing best practices for arrival, departure and in-house processes.
• Effective communication within all divisions within the hotel and Support Office.
• Ensure accuracy of room block assignments, arrangements for special requests, VIP accommodations and the distribution of the VIP lists
• Help to manage Online Travel Agents and manage the room inventories to ensure the desired Average Daily Rates.
• Meet and exceed the expectations of the Front Office team by utilizing leadership skills and motivation techniques to maximize associate productivity and satisfaction of direct reports
• Assist the Rooms Division Manager with conducting performance reviews
• Design and ensure active participation of the Front Office team for all training programs
• Listen and respond to guest requests or concerns, taking action until a solution has been identified
• Assume the responsibility of the Rooms Division Manager in his/her absence
• Other duties as required by senior management
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of 2+ years experience in a Front Office role
• Passionate about the people and the product
• Proven ability to effectively lead, motivate and develop a team
• Strong guest service orientation and training skills background
• Highly motivated, organized, and results driven
• Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional in presentation and demeanor
• Comprehensive knowledge of Front Office operations, policies and procedures
