Financial Accountant (Remote)

• Description:* Aston Carter’s client, specializing in global asset management and disposition, is looking to add two financial accountants to their team. One accountant will focus on AP Reconciliations and Processing of Full Cycle AP (60% transactional processing, 40% accounting/controls). The other accountant will focus on Inventory Reconciliations (90% inventory focus, 10% other tasks). These positions will be 100% remote after the initial 1 week of training which will be held in Texas, USA. Successful candidates must be eligible to travel to the United States.
• Candidates can sit out of Vancouver or Calgary, work hours will be MST*
  
  

Responsibilities include:

• Accounting and control duties
• Timely complete reporting requirements
• Journal entries
• Preparing, analyzing, and providing insight over financial reports covering movement and reconciliations
• Performing month end reconciliations between various business systems to ensure accuracy of GL and Sub-GL are correctly stated
• Ensuring proper cost allocation to inventory GL accounts
• Supporting day to day operational needs
• Communicating and building strong relationships with key clients
• Ensuring full SOX compliance, including but not limited to IPEs and WPs
• Supporting full count exercise at year end
• Performing due diligence on key reconciliation as requested

• 2 years experience full cycle accounting, including transactional processing
• Proficient with advanced Excel - Pivot/Vlookup
• ERP experience
• Experience with publicly traded company environment - SOX/Controls
• WFH Capabilities - reliable internet, quiet dedicated workspace etc.
• Must be eligible to travel to US
