Role Description-
Arcadis Canada is seeking a detail-oriented, well-organized, dependable Environmental Professional to join our Longueuil, Quebec team.

This is an opportunity for a dynamic individual looking for experience in the consulting industry. Candidates must work well in both team settings and independently and support a strong health and safety workplace. This position requires attention to detail, strong work ethic, and excellent analytical skills. The successful candidate will support their team in completing environmental site investigations and oversight remediation activities including- the collection of field data, soil and groundwater sampling, logging bedrock and soils, oversee drilling and soil sampling activities, operating water treatment unit, preparation of field logs and reports, analysis and interpretation of environmental data. Job responsibilities will be outside.

Role Accountabilities-

  • Conducting environmental site assessments (phase I, II, III and site remediation);
  • Supervise on-site activities and ensure coordination with stakeholders and subcontractors;
  • Supervise drilling work and installation of groundwater observation wells;
  • Supervise excavation work, site restorations and tank removal work;
  • Perform soil descriptions and soil sampling, sediments sampling and others;
  • Perform groundwater and surface water sampling;
  • Perform permeability tests on site;
  • Operate water treatment unit;
  • Write daily reports and field notes;
  • Analysis and interpretation of environmental data;
  • Implement the Health and Safety program.
  • Perform any other related tasks that can help fully execute the project.
Required Qualifications-
Qualifications & Experience-

  • Technical training in environment or any related field, or field experience in environmental sites assessments and site remediation;
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in similar functions;
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science or similar field or Technical Diploma;
  • Fluency in French and English a requirement.
Key Attributes-
  • Great knowledge of the French language and at ease with the English language (an asset);
  • Ease to adapt to different situations;
  • Capable of working alone or in a team;
  • Sense of initiative and organization, attention to detail, responsible and autonomous;
  • Available for frequent travel throughout Quebec;
  • Have a valid driver’s license and have access to a car.
  • Have a valid ASP Card.
