This is the critical position for DTI’s day-to-day operation. Reporting to the Operations manager, this position works closely with the engineering, purchasing and production leads. This position also provides oversight of the materials management database, its accuracy and up-to-date quality of information.

Responsibilities include:

- -Maintains quality and accuracy of electronic database that is used by multiple level of users and management.

- Oversee, plan, and efficiently execute database improvements.

- Organize, develop & execute tasks related to upgrade, re-design and database maintenance.

- Be familiar and positively engage in procurement, materials, production costs, and monitor cost reduction initiatives

- MUST posses knowledge of production BOM (Bill Of Material) concept and structure.

- Works with the production team and engineering teams to identify production or material flow improvements to help improve productivity.

- Follows Workplace Health & Safety Regulations. Ensures compliance with health and safety requirements for all employees at all times.

- Works with the Team Leads to identify high potential employees to advance skills for business continuity and employee development.

- Commitment to diversity and working within a multi-cultural workplace is essential.

Qualifications include:

- Minimum 1 - 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

- Post secondary education.

- Demonstrated ability to plan, and achieve manufacturing objectives.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills working with all levels of staff within the company.

- Familiarity working in a family business environment is preferred.

- Self directed.

- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills is essential for this role.

- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Products.

- The ability to lift and move between 20 to 50 pounds on an occasional basis is required.

We offer a competitive base salary and group benefits through Canada Life. For this role we offer a, performance based annual increase, and company performance based profit sharing.

Monday to Friday – 37.5 Hours per week
