• Description:* As a member of the engineering team in Electrical Systems Design, you will work in the Logistics & Sustaining Engineering (L&SE) program (to support On-Orbit Space Station activities and/or Gateway External Robotics System, and/or planetary/lunar rovers, and/or R&D activities. Responsibilities: The interested candidates shall show proficiency in the following areas:
• Skilled in development and verification of system level electrical specifications and requirements
• Experienced with the design, development and verification of electrical systems from planning to execution
• Supporting business development pertaining to electrical system engineering designs and costing activities
• Broad exposure to electrical engineering including embedded mixed signal systems, power systems, motor control and electro-optical designs
• Broad exposure to Digital System Design and Firmware V&V
• Capable of determining design alternatives and performing trade studies to choose a solution
• Understanding of environmental requirements including electromagnetic compatibility, radiation environments, thermal, and structural
• Ability to coordinate and negotiate with other engineering disciplines including software, mechanical and control systems
• Familiarity with electrical workmanship and quality standards would be an asset
• Strong analytical, problem solving, communication and organization skills
• Comfortable with technical presentations to customers like CSA and NASA for design reviews
• Strong interpersonal skills, self-starter and dedication to meet project deadlines
• Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and a positive thinker
• Other duties as required NOTES:
• Need to do electrical system design from architecture, to functional block diagrams to lower block diagrams
• To manage requirements, manage process, how to dissect top level requirements to schematic level requirements to board or unit level requirements
• Support project planning
• Support V&V - come in and see their systems architect from electrical perspective and keeping an eye on full picture, schedule and project planning are important as a lot of of the projects are brand new and they will feed off elements happening with other programs. So a lot of coordination needed with other programs and can adapt to quickly changing things

• Additional Skills & Qualifications:* MUST HAVES: 1) 7+ years of experience out of which at least 2 years was as a electrical systems engineer
• Must have completed a project from architecture to release 2)
  
  

2+ years of experience writing/authoring/creating requirements, as well as managing the process

• Ability to understand how to dissect top level requirements all the way from schematic level to CCA level 3) Previous experience using any one of the following CAD Tools: ORCAD, Altium, AutoCAD Electrical
• Need to do electrical systems design from architecture > to functional block diagrams > to lower block diagrams > FPGA level 4) Experience with PSPICE / LT Spice Simulators
• 2+ years of experience supporting V&V
  
  

NICE TO HAVE: 1) Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering 2) Familiarity with the space environment is an asset
