Electrical Planner - Power Generation

Matrix Labour leasing is currently hiring for an Electrical Planner - Power Generation position for one of our clients in Nunavut. Our client is a unique company with a strong management who have amassed specialty experience on northern mining projects through all phases of Inuit consultation, permitting, construction and operation.Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, monitor, and update the maintenance manual for the maintenance department, complete with business process flows, practices, policies & procedures, and KPIs.
• Provide technical/operational input into maintenance procedures and systems to ensure operational readiness.
• Create accurate plans for scheduling and manpower forecasting.
• Monitor and measure maintenance costs and adjust planning accordingly.
• Analyze trends in equipment maintenance needs including breakdown, preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and mean time between failure and mean time to repair.
• Identify increasing maintenance costs for pieces of equipment.
• Reviews and prioritizes maintenance work requests with other team members.
• Compile, update and distribute backlog reports and other mandated control reports.
• Create and continually update maintenance programs and schedules and equipment parts lists.
• Coordinate and schedule maintenance contractors.

Requirements

• Experience in power station generators, GE, and Cummind, and Electrical trades knowledge.
• Able to pass a drug and alcohol test and Able to pass medical testing.
• Candidates must have a mechanical or electrical post-secondary education (college or university) or a registered trade/journeyperson (e.g. mechanic). A specialization in maintenance would be considered an asset.
• Must have 10+ years of maintenance experience with at least 2 years in a planning role.

Pay Rate: $43.43/hrCamp DetailsLocation:

• Nunavut

Rotation

• This is a first in/first out operation on a 3x3 week rotation.
• Planning positions work day shift only.
• 12 hours per day.
• Overtime after 40 hours.

Accommodations

• This is a camp position so accommodations and meals will be covered.
• There are 2 sites. Flights and travel will be arranged to and from the campsite.
