Goodfood’s mission is to make the impossible come true, from farm to kitchen, by enabling members to do their weekly meal planning and grocery shopping in less than 1 minute. Goodfood members have access to a unique selection of products online as well as exclusive pricing made possible by its world class direct to consumer fulfilment ecosystem that cuts out food waste and expensive retail overhead.

The Company

The Company has six manufacturing and fulfillment facilities, along with administrative offices, across Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver.

Goodfood is a publicly traded company on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Over the past twelve months, Goodfood has achieved excellent financial results, with record results on a number of key growth and profitability metrics. Goodfood’s active subscriber count, revenue, and profitability all more than doubled year-over-year.

The company also expanded its product offering of ready-to-cook meals, introduced breakfast and ready-to-eat meal solutions and recently launched its private label grocery products, allowing Goodfood to enhance the members’ experience via a more comprehensive product offering, therefore significantly broadening the Company’s addressable market. More recently, with a green and sustainable vision in mind, Goodfood launched several sustainable initiatives, including a new proprietary reusable box which will eliminate several million single-use packaging items. The company has laid down a solid foundation to play a leading role in accelerating the adoption of online grocery shopping in Canada.

Background

Jonathan Ferrari and Neil Cuggy co-founded Goodfood in 2014 with the goal of changing the way Canadians cook in mind. Passionate about both food and technology from a young age, the founders took advantage of their finance backgrounds to challenge the current status quo existing in the food industry.

Born out of a goal to get more people to prepare delicious and healthy meals at home, today, Goodfood is a team of passionate individuals planning, preparing, and delivering delicious meals weekly across Canada.



The Role

We are looking to recruit an ambitious candidate in a dynamic supply chain role as an Analyst at Goodfood who is comfortable working in a fast-paced and high growth environment. The ideal Analyst is a quantitatively minded and resourceful team player who can think out of the box in an ambiguous problem space.

Position – Areas of Responsibility

  • Create KPI dashboard along with corresponding analysis to identify areas of improvement
  • Conduct SKU-based inventory analysis and demand planning, adjusting inventory levels based on real-time and evolving SKU-level sales data over time
  • Place daily replenishment orders to maximize on shelf availability

RequirementsThe Ideal Candidate

  • Strong academic record from a top-tier university/college, or prior success in a demanding business environment as an operationally experienced professional or start-up
  • Experience with statistics, financial analysis, inventory planning and decision modeling
  • Understanding of operations management, challenges, opportunities, and techniques

Skills & Capabilities

  • Analytical– You are quantitatively minded with demonstrated operational or financial modeling, and problem-solving skills
  • Process oriented – You recognize the value of routine and desire to create scalable processes around everything you do to drive efficiency
  • Fluent in Excel (or any other tool) – You have a proven ability to develop creative solutions with existing tools and are comfortable learning new technologies – bonus points if you want to leave Excel in the dust
  • Detail oriented– You possess strong organizational skills and consistently demonstrate a methodical approach to all your work
  • A natural communicator– You can explain information and processes to a variety of audiences written and verbally
  • Ability to prioritize effectively, multitask and easily manage stress in a demanding environment

Nice to haves

  • Experience with Python, SQL, Power Pivot, Power Query, APIs, Looker/BI, GIS (ArcGIS or QGIS) and other tools are a significant asset
  • Prior success in a demanding business environment such as a start up, professional services
  • A passion for e-commerce, logistics, operations, and technology
