The Assistant Supervisor supports with scheduling, time and leave management, assignment and review of work, and contributes to performance management of staff. They work with employees and community partners to identify and resolve service and program delivery complaints and issues, making recommendations for improvement.   • Completion Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED) plus two years related experience*.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Related Experience must include all of the following:
  • Leading staff in a high volume, fast paced, rapidly changing customer service environment, through monitoring and evaluating performance.
  • Experience using analytics to monitor performance.
  • Providing services to citizens from diverse backgrounds, including but not limited to, citizens with mental and physical health issues including substance use issues, and citizens who may be in crisis, impacted by trauma, and displaying frustration.
  • Planning, directing, monitoring, organizing, assessing and/or controlling of the resources of an organization.
  • Delivering programs and services requiring an assessment of eligibility, and applying rules, regulations and/or legislation.
  • Working with various computer applications: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; specialized data-bases, records-management, or case-management programs.
Preference May Be Given To Applicants With The Following
  • Completion of a post-secondary degree in Social Services, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience working directly in or with community-based social service organizations providing services to citizens in a face to face setting.
