Your Opportunity

The Corporate Receptionist position is responsible for providing corporate reception services to public stakeholders and internal business partners. Located at Conservation Halton’s administration office, shifts will include 1 day (7 hours) per week and vacation coverage on an as needed basis.

  • Greets, directs and provides superior front-line customer service to the public in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Assists visitors with inquiries and needs in person, by phone and by email
  • Maintains confidential information in accordance with the Conservation Halton Privacy Policy
  • Process various administrative sales using Siriusware Point of Sale software
  • Processes sales of annual park passes through the Park Pass System and assist members of the public with inquiries and transactions.
  • Processes information requests made by various partner organizations
  • Mail opening and distribution in accordance with CH Mail Opening Policy and applicable SOPs
  • Coordinates and processes outgoing mail, parcels, and courier services
  • Works with telecommunication system by following guidelines with support from the IT and Communications teams
  • Data entry assistance for financial services, including updating a weekly cheque register
  • Responsible for communicating visitor needs to internal departments by documenting and relaying inquiries, irregularities, and continuing needs
  • Process, order and distribute all office supplies for the administration office
  • Performs duties in accordance with Conservation Halton’s safety policies and procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act

Your Qualifications

The preferred candidate will have completed a college diploma in Administration, or equivalent experience, with the following skills, experience, and abilities:

  • Knowledge of cash handling and Point of Sale Systems
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Minimum 3 years related work experience in a customer service-based role is an asset
  • Basic knowledge of the planning and permit process as well as knowledge of Conservation Halton parks and services is an asset
  • Accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and data entry skills an asset
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
