CORPORATE HABA SPECIALIST

The Opportunity:
This position supports the HABA departments and helps them optimize their department overall as well as providing direction with regards to product mix, merchandising and promotion. There is a strong understanding of industry trends, product movement, sales trends which will allow for informed listing and buying decisions for ideal product mix within our stores. Under the direction of the Category Manager – Wellness, the CHM is ultimately responsible for sales optimization in all store locations.
This position will be responsible for:
- Overall management of the HABA division from a corporate perspective, including product offerings, sales optimization, item movement, and promotions.
- Development and maintenance of strategic relationships with key vendors to ensure we are carrying trending items and negotiating optimum pricing and terms for the organization.
- Work strategically with Wellness Manager and key stakeholders across the organization to ensure HABA division is well represented across all locations, including marketing, operations, and local leadership teams.
- Bring forward industry knowledge and trends to leadership teams and make business case for opportunities to explore to better the overall success of the business.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge of organics industry
- Proven ability to negotiate optimum pricing and terms with suppliers
- Excellent relationship management and networking skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience in a sales or retail setting
- Provide direction and support to store Department Managers
- Assess and seek new opportunities for increasing gross margin within the department
- Stay abreast of industry trends and pricing strategies
- Develop program to increase category sales
Qualifications we’re looking for in a candidate:
- Extensive experience in skin care and health required
- 5+ years in a similar position
- 3+ years in a leadership or mentorship capacity
- College education in related field considered a strong asset
