About This Opportunity
Coke Canada’s Public Affairs & Communications (PAC) team’s vision is to be at the forefront for how bottlers build and manage their reputations globally.
Our goal is to build and enhance our social license to operate. Our role is to unearth and share the Coke Canada story internally and externally in a relatable (and sharable) way, in what we do and how we do it, we will be agents of change and drivers of the reinvention of the company and we will use data and facts to address perceptions as we evolve.
The Bilingual PAC coordinator will report into the Manager, External Communications, PAC, providing support for Coke Canada’s Public Affairs & Communications team. This role will oversee the team’s integrated communications calendar; facilitate budgeting/financial requirements; and provide communications, project management, and community relations support on external communications projects. They will also oversee internal and external channel postings, community management, and team business reporting.

*Responsibilities*

Ensuring projects are executed on time through rigorous workplan development and management, including coordination of PAC activities, cross functional teams, and those of our communications agency.
*

  • Community Relations Support and Coordination – working with the External Communications Manager to execute company community relations partnerships and activities.
  • Media Relations Support and Coordination – working the External Communications Manager to execute media relations, including drafting communications materials, pitching media, compiling and distributing results.
  • Social media community management– Monitoring, tracking, posting (via Org’s corporate LinkedIn Channel/Hootsuite)
  • Internal and external statistics and analytics – Compiling and presenting relevant statistics to support plans and content calendar
  • General media monitoring tracking and distribution.
  • Managing and executing content postings on internal and external comms channels and platforms
  • PAC Integrated Calendar – oversee the development, maintenance and team’s adherence to an annual integrated communications calendar
  • Senior Leaders Meeting and Town Hall coordination support for Manager of Internal Communications
  • Team Budget/Finance Management and Coordination – maintain budget management and finance requirements for PAC team
  • Facility Liaison – Be the PAC point person/coordinator for facilitation of national internal communications,community, and volunteer initiatives involving our facilities
  • Assitance in general team administration, as necessary

Qualifications*

  • *

Fluency in English and French

  • Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma, with a focus on communications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Tools (including Teams, SharePoint, Yammer, Stream)
  • Experience using marketing-based email tools (e.g. MailChimp, IBM SilverPop/Watson) and online video content systems (e.g Vimeo, YouTube)
  • Proven work experience to maintain and update internet & intranet applications (knowledge of basic HTML an asset)
  • Excellent verbal & strategic written comms skills
  • Savvy about current and emerging social media channels and trends
  • Someone who is on top of what is happening in the news
  • Capable of communicating with employees across all levels of the organization
  • Self-starter
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability to deliver on-time, on-budget
  • Can work independently as well as part of a team
