Position Overview:

The Contracts Administrator/Procurement Administrator will provide assistance with tenders and administration of procurement processes, including pricing and VPO reviews. Additional activities may include setting up lot estimates and replying to requests that are coming from the field.

Key Functions & Duties:

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in follow up with trade tender submission
  • Processing of VPO’s and replying to requests coming from the field
  • Coordinating the procurement schedule with the project manager and the project construction schedule
  • Assist in portal set up for new projects and following up on current business operations
  • Collaborating with internal and external personnel regarding invoice queries and co-ordination of third party purchase orders
  • Updating and maintenance of supplier contract database and summary files
  • Updating and maintenance of supplier qualification, safety and certification records
  • Development and on-going maintenance of approved Trade List
  • General Administration as required and experience in managing resources and defining deadlines

Skills and Qualifications:

  • College education related to project management, civil engineering and/or construction or
  • Procurement and contract management experience
  • Thorough understanding and expertise in data manipulation, sorting and analysis tools (Excel.)
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively multi-task with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Technical knowledge: MS Office, Internet.
