The Comp & Ben Partner under the direction of the Human Resource Director, will provide high level analytical report support, relating to salary benchmarking, building compensation structures globally and total pension and benefit strategic planning. This position will manage Vaderstad employees’ pension and benefits as well providing support on human resources policies, payroll, compensation, and benefit programs.
Education/Experience
· University degree and/or College Diploma in related field
· 5+ years direct experience in a Compensation role
· Experienced MS Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
· Understanding of benefit and compensation structures

· Solid understanding of compensation principles, programs, and processes.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment
· Knowledge and experience in a range of human resources activities, including recruitment, orientation, compensation and benefits, performance management, and employee communications
Accountabilities
· Work with leaders across the business to support the design of compensation programs and find opportunities that align with Vaderstad’s business strategy
· Conduct job evaluations in accordance with our job evaluation tool to ensure continued internal alignment and pay equity compliance.
· Serves as key functional lead for the delivery of compensation programs through our HRIS, Workday, including data audits, process configuration and system maintenance. Participates in the ongoing development of Workday functionality and tools and process, with a focus on delivering a seamless employee experience.
· Provide strategic tools and plans for benchmarking and identifying future opportunities in our Total Compensation offerings
· Respond to employee and government agency inquiries regarding payroll/compensation
· Advise employees and managers on the interpretation of compensation and benefit programs and policies
· Reconcile group insurance and pension balances and ensure compliant with applicable legislation and the plan contracts
· Manage benefit programs including claims and disability management
