Connective is a dynamic non-profit organization that provides innovative programming in the social services sector. We strive to create safe, healthy, and inclusive communities for all.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Connective operates four Community-Based Residential Facilities in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley in BC. In the spirit of transparency and service excellence, Connective will be undertaking a preliminary independent review of these programs, which will become a regular process. The review process will be designed by an independent consultant. We are looking for qualified candidates to complete the review on a contract basis.

ROLE PURPOSE
The independent review is a critical process in establishing the efficacy and impact of a new program. Connective intends to contract independent professionals to apply a comprehensive review process, as established by an independent consultant.

AVAILABILITY
  • Be available for 4 days of training in March 2022
  • Be available to conduct the review for 5 days in March/April 2022 – tentative dates: March 28th – April 1st
  • Complete written report of the review by April 29, 2022
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Maintains ongoing communication with Connective and their independent consultant regarding availability to complete the review, contact information, expertise for the duration of this contract and until the review is complete
  • Applies provided training and materials in the conduct of the review
  • Interviews staff, persons served, and other stakeholders of the organization to gather information relative to the review
  • Reviews documents, including records of persons served, plans, policies, and procedures to determine conformance to expectations
  • Observes and documents organizational processes and service delivery to gather information relative to the review
  • Offers consultation to the organization regarding conformance to the standards and performance improvement
  • Prepares a survey report that accurately reflects the review findings
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information gathered during the review process
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • A relevant degree, diploma or certificate, or combination of education and experience
  • At least five years of direct experience in a program oversight or service evaluation role
  • Direct experience engaged in works to improve the quality of services to people who have interacted with the criminal justice system
  • Knowledge of standards and legal and ethical expectations of service provision to people being supervised in the community on behalf of the Correctional Services
  • Special consideration for those who have provided or have extensive knowledge in community supervision services
  • Consultative, rather than inspective, approach to the review process
  • Ability to manage time efficiently, high level of accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills (listening, verbal and written) and time management skills
  • Not personally or professionally invested in the outcome of the review, programs, or Connective
REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to successfully complete an Enhanced Security Clearance
  • Ability to successfully pass a reference check
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination
  • Permanent Residency or Canadian Citizenship
