About us

Indigenous Gaming Regulators Inc. (IGR), is an institution of the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations responsible for providing licensing and regulatory services for charitable gaming on designated First Nations.

Our organization is currently seeking a Communications Officer who will play a leadership role in the design and implementation of communications and public relations strategies intended to provide information on First Nations charitable gaming regulations to all designated First Nations.

Skills and qualifications:

• Must possess a University degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a relevant field
• Two to three (2-3) years experience in communications
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• The ability to work as a team member and independently
• To work with policy and decision makers
• Knowledge of First Nations political, business structure and gaming industry in Saskatchewan

Responsibilities:

• Developing, writing and editing communications and marketing materials
• Prepare reports for the management team
• Promote communications and marketing through social media
• Maintain digital media
• Create content for publications, website, annual report and other marketing materials

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $60,992.00-$64,927.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Saskatoon, SK: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
