Position Description

Our client seeks a skilled Buyer with a strong head on their shoulders. Comfortable with multi-tasking, your ability to work skilfully under pressure, while effectively prioritizing and triaging tasks, sets you apart from the pack.

As our client’s new budding Buyer, you will be entrusted with managing their procurement to pay process. Managing supplier partnerships, providing prompt and complete feedback, and acquiring pricing and savings info are the arenas wherein your expertise will be particularly valued.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, procurement etc.
  • Experience with MRP in a manufacturing setting is ideal
  • Familiarity and comfort with MS Suite of Products (Word, Excel etc.)
  • Experience with global supply, including building partnerships and fostering communication with low cost countries suppliers
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and logistics
  • Plays well with engineers and slight technical (documentation) acumen a bonus

Education

Degree or diplomas in either engineering, business, SCM and/or purchasing related discipline.
