Your role as a Business Banking Operations Representative you will:

Frequent contact with Delivery staff and some Member interaction is required. The Business Banking Operations Representative will be required to accurately prepare business documentation in support of the account opening process and lending fulfillment. There is frequent requirement to liaise with other Meridian employees, Members and external contacts. Incumbents will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the overall delivery of Business Banking Services that could lead to other career opportunities.
  • Provide support to the Delivery Network staff in the sale and fulfillment of all business solutions and communicate with external partners to support fulfillment requests for Members.
  • Demonstrate a collaborative approach to working with internal partners such as Operations, CCM, Branches, Adjudication, and Risk to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of solutions for Business Members.
  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of lending processes through preparing a variety of documents related to and in support of deposit/online banking products as well as SB Lending solutions, ensuring full legislative compliance
  • Accurately fulfill business solutions in the Ovation Banking system as required
  • Focus on the highest quality Member service, ensuring alignment with overall Meridian and Business Banking goals and objectives and search for new and better ways to process work that will enhance the Member experience and provide efficiencies by providing the service or transactions
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment with peers and colleagues throughout the delivery system by sharing best practices
  • Ensures all documentation in relation to Business lending are completed and submitted in an accurate and timely manner in accordance and compliance with all corporate policies, procedures and legislative requirements
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and development by actively participating in learning initiatives, maintaining awareness of changing economic/marketplace influences, industry trends/data, mentorship of peers and sharing knowledge and learning
  • Promote Meridian Credit Union in your community by participating and being involved in community activities or events while demonstrating the Company values

How you will succeed:
  • 1-3 years progressive experience in Business Banking, sales/service in a banking, finance environment or like field
  • Subject matter expert in Business Account opening PNP(s)
  • Flexible to support branch extended hours and rotation for Saturday coverage
  • Background education in accounting, finance, commerce, business administration, or equivalent would be an asset
  • General understanding of aspects of deposit/cash management business services would be an asset.
  • Good analytical, relationship, interpersonal, communication, and team skills
  • Solid business acumen coupled with a demonstrated ability to initiate action to achieve results and meet deadlines while respecting fundamental corporate values
  • Ability to work independently with confidence and strong commitment to Member service
  • Strong personal commitment to professional development
  • Computer literate in a windows environment
  • Strong ability to be task oriented and manage to tight timelines around document preparation and execution.
  • Resolve routine to moderately complex problems or issues using standard operating principles escalating where appropriate
  • Develop ability to independently identify routine and general problems or issue
  • Effective and professional communication is required both internally and externally in written and verbal forms.
