We are looking for a highly motivated Building Operator. In this role you will be required to work within a team environment to meet high standards of tenant service and maintenance upkeep within our high rise property. You will be able to express elevated leadership skills and make decisions within all aspects of building operations, maintenance and customer service.

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:
  • Meter readings, daily boiler readings, water treatment and building operations via the building automation system
  • Basic programming, scheduling and commanding of equipment through building automation system
  • Maintenance on all mechanical equipment including monthly, quarterly, and annual preventative maintenance tasks
  • Minor plumbing and mechanical repairs on base building equipment
  • Monitoring the building automation system to ensure tenant comfort and to ensure systems are running at maximum efficiency
  • Contacting and managing 3rd party contractors for projects and repairs as required
  • Cross training with other buildings required
To succeed in this role, you have:
  • A minimum of 5 years industry experience and can demonstrate good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting knowledge and skills
  • 4th Class Power Engineering certification is needed for this role.
  • Journeyman certificate in plumbing would be considered an asset
  • Education: minimum high school diploma
  • Have worked with HVAC systems, Preventative Maintenance, Fire & Life Safety Systems
  • Experience with building automation systems: Trane, Delta Controls, or JCI Metasys
  • Knowledge of building systems and controls, HVAC trouble shooting and repairs, and experience with DDC automation systems would be an asset
