RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet and seat guests in the lounge
• Prepare, mix, and garnish beverages for customers of CAVU restaurant and room service using standard ingredient recipes and practicing portion control
• Ensure a proper and adequate set-up of the bar
• Monitor and maintain liquor stock & bar supplies
• Maintain cutting and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure product quality
• Check guests for proper identification, manage method of payment, and serve alcohol according to provincial regulation
• Wash utensils & glassware
• Assist in other Food and Beverage areas as required, including banquet service and set-up
• Other duties as assigned.

• Candidate must have a good knowledge of food, wine, spirits and craft beer
• Minimum of 1-2 years previous bartending experience is essential
• Must have demonstrated ability to work effectively with others in a team situation
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and have strong initiative
• Technical skills should include experience with Micros or a similar POS System
• Must be highly organized, work well under pressure and be detail oriented
• Consistently demonstrate an outgoing, vivacious friendly and positive attitude
• Serving it Right and Food Safe certification required
• Collaborate and provide support on social media initiatives including online reputation management (TripAdvisor, Yelp, etc.), content creation and social customer service
