About This Opportunity


Reporting to the Sr Manager, Raw Materials & Packaging, the Raw Materials Planning Analyst will be primarily responsible for the planning and forecasting of raw materials. The successful candidate will work closely with the production planning team along with the procurement team and third party vendors. This role will require someone to be proficient in using Excel and to have strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate rolling production plan to our key suppliers to ensure supply continuity to meet the needs of the Business Unit.
  • Coordinate raw materials supply program with our supplier network to meet the in-market calendar of the business, along with assuring regional balancing of various raw materials in our facilities
  • Ensure the integrity of the SAP Production and Capacity Modules; ensure full utilization to ensure accurate raw materials to support the MRP cycle.
  • Work with our manufacturing sites & Supply Planning to ensure that Working Capital targets are achieved on raw & packaging inventories, including publishing monthly scorecards.
  • First point of contact with supplier and/or plant and/or Commercialization with any minor ingredient change that impacts our production facilities, such as raw materials specification changes.
  • Lead contingency options for supply/production planning if supply of raw material does not meet the quality or supply requirements.
  • Track the supplier performance (OTIF, Lead-time adherence, DOS etc.), ensuring corrective action & communicate all related information to plant personnel, supplier, and Procurement.
  • Responsible to reduce/eliminate the obsolete material through proper coordination between plant/supply planning/Commercialization, communicate write-offs per plant on monthly reports.

Qualifications


  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a supply chain planning or procurement environment
  • Well-developed Influencing Skills – Able to guide decisions based on solid facts, analysis and conclusions through all levels of the production facility and supply chain along with the supplier network.
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills - Ability to lead cross functional group including Planning, Manufacturing, Commercialization and Suppliers to execute a minor raw material change within the network while balancing high customer service with plant efficiency.
  • Experience with strategic sourcing and demonstrated implementation of cost savings initiatives.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Lync, etc.
  • Strong proficiency with SAP/ERP required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Finance/Accounting, Business Administration or Engineering
  • CPM, CMA, CSCMP, APICS or other related certification
  • OE/Six Sigma Certified
