Job Title: Advanced Test Engineer
Length of Assignment: 1 year

Position Summary
As an Advanced Test Engineer (contractor) for the Matrox Imaging division of Zebra, this role will focus on working and collaborating with the New Product Engineering, Test & Diagnostics teams to gain understanding of existing production test methods and drive improvements with the primary goal to facilitate the smooth transition and transfer to contract manufacturer. This role will further support the site setup and validation activities and liaise with contractor manufacturer to ensure systems are validated. This role has the potential to convert to full-time role, of which will consist of transferring NPD designs to manufacturing while supporting sustained product releases.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Engineering, Test & Diagnostics developers to facilitate the technology transfer of test methods and equipment to a contract manufacturing partner.
• Understand existing test methodologies.
• Review existing test methods for streamlined improvements and implement as part of transfer.
• Document existing and improved test methods that support technology transfer.
• Duplicate necessary test fixtures and systems.
• Translate engineering documentation to English.
• Participate in technology transfer discussions and weekly meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in automated manufacturing engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and integration with test
• Experience with transferring manufacturing and test processes to contract manufacture
• Understand the architecture of the personal computers.
• Understand the configuration Windows and Linux.
• Possess good aptitudes for analysing and problem solving (scientific method)
• Possess good skills with office suite.
• Knowledge of programming languages (C++, C#, LabVIEW, TestStand, Python)
• Asset: have a technical college degree in electrical engineering (DEC 243.xx)
• Strong teamwork and people skills.
• Competent in both French and English (spoken and written).
