River Rock Casino Resort, operated by Great Canadian Gaming Corporation (GCGC), is currently searching for an Administrator, Accounts Payable with solid accounting skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing of all invoices received for payment in an accurate, efficient and timely manner. The candidate will have knowledge of full Accounts Payable cycle. The Administrator, Accounts Payable will possess the leadership, relationship building, and technical skills required to perform reconciliation of GCGC’s accounts payables and relevant liability accounts.

Duties and responsibilities for our Administrator, Accounts Payable will include:

  • Verifying, matching and coding invoices
  • Processing invoices upon approval
  • Recording vouchers and processing cheques, electronic fund transfers and wire payments
  • Reconciling accounts payable
  • Processing P-card transactions and employee expenses
  • Preparing vendor analysis
  • Preparing accruals and month end journal entries
  • Responding to and resolving inquiries and issues related to accounts payable
  • Communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Building strong working relationships with all stakeholders; colleagues, management and vendors
  • Complying with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary education in accounting/finance or suitable combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in high volume multi-divisional accounts payable experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to build relationships and work with professionals around the organization
  • Computer literacy in MS Office, JDE or related accounting software experience and asset
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Serving it Right, Smart Serve or IGB Certificate
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
  • A commitment to continually increase your knowledge of our products and services in order to offer exceptional experiences to our guests
  • A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development

Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule. The scheduled hours of work will be based on business needs.
