Robert Half is partnered with a leading organization who is hiring an Accounts Payable Manager to their team. The Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing all functions related to accounts payable;

• Team management; hiring, training, coaching and development of 4 Accounts Payable Clerks
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor payments
• Process payments via cheque, EFT, wires, process payment reversals and stop payments
• Resolve accounts payable discrepancies, handle escalations, and set up new vendor accounts
• Timely processing of employee expense claims
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any issues causing backlog
• Lead Month End close procedure related to accounts payable: complete adjusting journal entries, monthly accruals and balance sheet account reconciliations
• Contribute with the recommendation, implementation and maintenance of process improvements within the department
  

Requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 year’s experience supervising/managing a similar size team
• Post secondary education in accounting, finance or related is preferred
• Full cycle accounts payable experience; knowledge of 3 way match and working with inventory
• ERP experience required
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills; knowledge of pivot table, vlookups etc.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities
