Responsibilities:

· Anchoring or co-hosting an engaging morning show each weekday and maintaining a high level of performance.

· Developing and following up on guests, story ideas, and gathering news information.

· Working closely with the Program Director to consistently improve the show and ratings.

· Working closely with the news team to ensure excellence in VOCM’s news coverage at all times.

· As required, working within the news department reporting, interviewing, and hosting news stories, segments, or programs.

· Public appearances on behalf of VOCM.. This includes but not limited to concert MC duties, charity events, special station events, client events, etc.

Qualifications:

· A minimum of 3-5 years of on-air experience

· Broad digital and broadcast journalism skills

· Must be able to adjust on the fly, and work well under pressure while multi-tasking

· Above average phone and production skills.

· Solid news judgement with excellent interviewing, reporting and writing skills

· Creativity, a passion for keeping up-to-date on current events, and the understanding that real life makes great radio.

· Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

· A strong work ethic with a team-oriented approach

· Valid driver’s license
