Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC handles end-to-end warehousing and distribution logistics needs utilizing our strategic network of storage facilities. Our facilities are capable of receiving, storing, processing and dispatching cargo, so we can build flexibility and resilience into the supply chain process. Our integrated solutions allow us to be prepared for supply chain risks, so we can plan distribution to better achieve lead time and goals despite unexpected conditions. Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Inventory and verification
- Outbound Equipment Billing
- Coordinate Customer Bookings and Orders with Warehouse
- Receive Drivers and Dispatch Equipment
- Container and Chassis Inspections and Cleaning
- Verify Container Pool
- Administer yard jockey tests and evaluations
- Conduct daily safety meetings
- Monitor Yard Driver and Cleaning Attendant performance and safety
- Ability to operate and perform as a backup yard driver when needed
- Supervising Maintenance & Repair of all equipment (Trailers, Containers and Yard Trucks)
- Ensuring yard layout and housekeeping are maintained per company expectations
- Physically able to climb up steps of the yard truck and open/close trailer and container doors
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of OTR or yard truck experience (Preferred)
- Possession of or ability to obtain a Class A commercial drivers license
- Must be knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word and other related programs)
- Knowledge of container and trailer repair and maintenance
- Sound verbal and written communication skills
- Must be a team player with the ability to multitask in office and on yard
- Knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) rules and regulations
- Provide a Motor Vehicle Report
- Must be an aggressive self-starter
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work nights, holidays and weekends is required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule - weekends, and holidays as required by business/customer need
