What can you expect?
Reception desk
This position is the ‘face’ of the Executive Office, managing the reception desk, responsible for appointments, correspondence, and general organization. The Reception and Group Service Assistant is also responsible for assisting the VP Sales, Marketing, Communications and New Business. Occasionally also with events set up and implementation as directed by The VP.
Group Services
Responsible for coordinating group functions, processing payments for groups and ensuring the groups arrival, stay and departure are a rewarding experience for both the group members and Sunshine Village staff, as overseen by and the Reception and Groups Services Coordinator.

This job might be right for you if you think you would really enjoy:
  • Ensure that all duties are preformed while maintaining Sunshine Village’s COVID – 19 policies and procedures.
  • Initial On-Mountain contact with the Group Leader once the sale has been secured by Group Sales.
  • Prepare & review group forms & internal function sheets.
  • Work closely with all on-mountain departments.
  • On group arrival day - prepare lift tickets, vouchers, ‘meet and greet,’ review itinerary & occasionally acting as a tour guide.
  • Prepare complete and accurate revenue and cash reports daily.
  • Complete end of day system procedures including nightly processing.
  • Manage, issue and track VIP, Corporate and Contractor Passes, as well as COMP tickets, and supply report to VP of Sales, Marketing, Communication & New Business.
  • Perform a broad range of administrative duties with minimal supervision.
  • Cover various administrative duties and tasks when required.
  • Keep and maintain various logs/statistics.
  • Participation in hazard assessments at routine intervals to mitigate risk, included will be timely reporting of incidents and accidents to the appropriate authority.
  • Collect and organize information, requirements and critical paths for potential and upcoming events as directed by the VP.
  • Coordinate and assist with course set up, teardown, start lists, timing and prizing where applicable.
  • Work with all different departments at the Resort as well as external contractors.
  • Perform daily administrative duties including, but not limited to, answering the phone, prioritizing and transcribing voicemail messages and answering emails from a variety of stakeholders.
  • Provide support to the VP in the management of events and corporate accounts.
  • Maintains and processes contra and complimentary accounts.
  • Handle and perform a variety of highly confidential duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.
And you have:
  • Post-Secondary education in business studies or relevant work experience.
  • Related experience is a real asset; such as ticketing, sales, groups.
  • Must have customer service experience.
  • Must possess knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (i.e., Excel & Word), accounting and administrative skills.
  • Superior organizational, attention to detail, coordination, communication and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to balance accounts and invoices.
  • Excellent knowledge of Sunshine Village (we will teach).
  • Ability to work with others, alone and unsupervised.
  • Comfortable dealing with large groups and speaking to crowds.
  • Able to use own initiative and deal with a variety of people, including children.
  • Proven ability with sound judgment and high confidentiality.
  • Thoroughness, accuracy and professionalism are essential.
  • Overtime - evening and weekends may be required when needed.
  • Must be a team player.
