We are hiring for Wine Experience Educator - a seasonal role at our Black Hills location in Oliver BC.


Black Hills Estate wine shop is a beautiful building nestled in our winery and offering up tastings, products, gifts and education. As the Wine Experience Server, you will be interacting with guests on the property and hosting wine tastings.

Does this sound like you -

  • A passion for working with the public and/or are interested in learning about wine, hospitality, travel and tourism
  • A passion for sharing wine and viticultural knowledge
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to multi-task
  • A "Can Do" attitude and enjoy working in a busy seated tasting environment (restaurant serving experience an asset)
  • An understanding of how to provide best-in-class service for guests


The Responsibilities -

  • Greeting guests/in person/phone/email with a robust and friendly manner
  • Being a Wine Educator (don’t worry we train you!) and brand ambassador
  • Creating memorable guest experiences by providing information about our premium wines and/or leading tastings and experiences
  • Sharing wine and viticulture knowledge in a fun and engaging way
  • Drive for higher sales and encouraging guests to become Wine Club members
  • Performing all selling and retail functions within each of the retail boutiques
  • Demonstrate service excellence to all visitors by managing customer inquiries in a positive, professional, and enthusiastic manner
  • Supporting on-site events and in-store promotions
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
