The Opportunity

As Vice President, Professional Services for the Americas, you are a critical region for OpenText. Your primary responsibilities will be to strategically drive and grow Professional Services sales, increase the rolling four quarter average pipeline, and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the Professional Services sales quota carriers. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned leader who can inspire and guide a services team to excel in the global market while emphasizing the value of services to our customers.

Key Priorities

  • Growing Professional Services Sales: Develop and execute strategies to drive revenue growth within the Professional Services division, ensuring alignment with company goals and margin targets.
  • Increasing Rolling Four Quarter Average Pipeline: Work collaboratively to build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities, focusing on long-term sustainability and growth.
  • Enhancing the Effectiveness and Efficiency of Sales Quota Carriers: Lead, mentor, and manage the performance of your teams to maximize employee development, retention, and overall success.

You Are Great At

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a Professional Services plan that aligns with company objectives and consistently meets margin targets.
  • Market Alignment: Ensure that Professional Services offerings are aligned with customer and company needs, staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Team Management: Recruit, onboard, and manage performance to build high-performing teams that positively contribute to the company’s success.
  • Customer Engagement: Collaborate with internal and partner resources to drive customer success, ensuring exceptional quarterly and annual financial performance.
  • Revenue Generation: Drive the closure of new and recurring business across accounts of all sizes, fostering key customer relationships and offering support throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Leadership: Provide visionary leadership within the Professional Services division and contribute to the development of strategies to achieve overall company goals.
  • Product Knowledge: Become knowledgeable in OpenText’s EIM vision, product roadmaps, install base, and technologies, effectively communicating customer requirements to the product teams.
  • Other Related Duties: Perform any additional tasks or projects as assigned to support the success of the Professional Services division.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to collaborate with all levels and departments within an organization, inspiring and motivating teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Proficient in hiring, engaging, and retaining top talent within multi-regional services leadership teams.
  • Demonstrated success in building, sustaining, and expanding revenue streams within a services and training business.
  • Strong focus on delivering customer engagements with excellence and driving customer satisfaction, adoption, and ROI.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and globally as required.
  • Experience in the ECM, BPM, or broader EIM industry is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to have meaningful business conversations with sales leaders.
  • Proficient in understanding and leveraging key performance metrics to drive business success.

What It Takes

  • University or Bachelor’s degree, advanced university or Master’s degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of sales and progressive sales management experience, including leading a team of 25+ people.
  • 10+ years of Enterprise Software or Professional Services experience.
  • Demonstrated results in growing a business or expanding a market.
  • Working knowledge of the ISV market
