VP of Sales & Marketing

We are seeking an experienced and analytical minded VP of Sales & Marketing to join our team. We value the years of experience the new VP of Sales & Marketing will bring to the role and are also excited for an opportunity to work with an intuitive natural-born leader.

As the leader of a large team, you will do more than just close sales. You will act as a key resource to all members of the Inside & Outside Sales, Marketing and Estimating team, as well as motivate and inspire your own team professionals. You will bring an entrepreneurial spirit, recognition of the value of teamwork and a desire to collaborate and build relationships with all members of the team company wide.

As a key member of the Sales team, you will have primary responsibility for strategic planning of key accounts and territories, mentoring, coaching, supporting, and analyzing sales data to make strategic decisions to help grow and support the Company.

As the VP of Sales & Marketing, you will instill business discipline and promote being a Customer Resource to support strategic partnerships and operational decision making and performance management for the entire company.

Responsibilities:

Leadership

  • Serve as a key member working closely with the CEO to establish overall company strategy and goals and support the execution and attainment of the company’s vision, purpose, strategy, brand promises and audacious goal.
  • Work collaboratively with CEO & CFO to define, executive and achieve key annual initiatives and goals.
  • Work closely with senior sales team to develop and manage channel strategies for jr. sales.
  • Build, manage, develop, and lead high performing Sales teams, which includes Outside & Inside Sales, Structural Sales, Marketing and Business Development Estimators, in successfully hitting monthly targets and team goals.
  • Develop and manage the Sales and Marketing budgets and be accountable for the results.
  • Strategic planning including corporate positioning, market and competitive analysis, and product positioning.
  • Create and foster a culture that motivates team to exceed targets and provides on-going mentoring and support.
  • Develop the necessary CRM tools for effective sales management and reporting.

Sales

  • Develop a data-driven, sales strategy and action plan to grow new sales and leverage sales with existing customer base.
  • Create and execute annual and quarterly sales forecasts with CFO to within set targets.
  • Develop a repeatable sales process and play-book.
  • Track and report on leading performance metrics.
  • Understand market and industry to identify key accounts and opportunities in driving revenue and increasing sales efficiency.
  • Drive significant revenue growth through new client and market development.
  • Works with stakeholders to establish pricing (increase/decrease/programs) that maximize profits and topline sales results.
  • Develop systems and A-player teams that support our goals for short and long term.

Marketing

  • Develop a data-driven, marketing strategy to grow new sales.
  • Develop branding, direct marketing, and referral marketing strategies to support our goal.
  • Collaborate with Executive Team to define and build and communicate internal and external Employer Brand.
  • Accountable for developing, coordinating and delivering strategic communication campaigns, projects and change initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or Communications preferred.
  • 5+ years of proven successful Sales management experience.
  • Experience coaching and motivating successful Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Experience/comfort working in a demanding, fast pace, complex ever-changing environment
