New Glasgow Veterinary Hospital is a progressive, fast-paced three doctor veterinary clinic looking for a full or part time veterinary receptionist to join our team.

We are seeking an individual that is self-motivated, people-oriented and fast-learning. Candide must have a compassion for animals, excellent communication and organizational skills and express a friendly and compassionate energy while working in a team setting. Prior experience in the veterinary field will be considered an asset.

Pay rate will be dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, quality client service.
• Answering and operate a multiple phone line system.
• Scheduling appointments and boarding reservations.
• Greet clients in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner.
• Collect client fees, process payments and run end of day transactions.
• Gain knowledge of products sold and answer questions concerning products purchased/used.
• Enter data into practice management software.
• Perform a variety of clerical duties.
• Work well with all employees and ensure that your actions support the hospital, doctors and the practice philosophy.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
• Ability to communicate and handle high-stress situations while maintaining a professional manner.

Lifting pets or product up to 20kg may be involved.
