The Company

Intellijoint Surgicaldevelops effective and easy to use products to enhance surgeons’ care and patients’ lives. Today, Intellijoint technology lives in the operating room helping surgeons improve implant positioning during hip and knee replacement surgeries. Our technology has been used in over 27,000 surgeries - helping us to gain real-world feedback from patients and surgeons to improve our products. We are seeking a UI/UX Designerto join our Research & Developmentteam to help bring innovative technologies to the market.

The Position

The UI/UX Designeris part of our R&D team focused on developing Intellijoint HIP and Intellijoint KNEE, our navigation products. We are a small, growing, cross-functional team of talented individuals, passionate about improving medical outcomes with the technologies we build. The UI/UX Designer will evaluate user requirements and deliver an outstanding user experience through functional and beautiful designs. Simply put, you will work with a talented and driven team to build innovative medical device technology that can improve surgical outcomes and enhance patients’ quality of life.

As a snapshot,we are looking for someone who:

• Has demonstrated experience in user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design for software products,
• Can balance multiple projects, and
• Is a driven, collaborative, team player, who is user-centric

Main Duties:

• Design user flow diagrams, process maps, mock-ups and wireframes with a user-centered design approach
• Design high-fidelity, production ready designs using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, etc.
• Collaborate with product managers, development managers and systems engineers to articulate the user requirements and evaluate the effectiveness of the design solutions
• Collaborate with the software development team on the technical feasibility and implementation of the designs
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and application of UX and UI and overall development processes, best practices and tools

Skills and Experience to Enable Success:

• 3+ years of experience in UI / UX design
• Drive and passion for UX and UI
• Solid understanding of design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, etc.
• Solid understanding of design principles
• Understanding of agile software development practices
• Ability to lead and facilitate discussions with team members and stakeholders
