Truck Driver - Heavy Equipment Hauler, Class 1

The Heavy Equipment Hauler is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Equipment Haul trucks, transporting and delivering equipment to the job site and loading/unloading equipment and pipe.

As an Heavy Equipment Hauler at Standard General, you will:

• Operate multiple tractor/trailer combinations in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Load/unload any and all types of Road Construction Equipment including Paving Equipment and pipe.
• Keep legal log book and all required records (i.e. Pre-trip inspections).
• Comply with all applicable legislation and bylaws (AB Transportation, Federal, and Municipal).
• Receive and relay information as required.
• Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness.
• Promote, execute, and adhere to the company’s safety program.
• Other related duties as required

To Be Successful In this Role, You Will Need:

• Clean Class 1 drivers abstract
• 3 years minimum experience with Heavy Equipment.
• Experience hauling pipe.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Experience with Tri/32/48/Super B.
• Winch and recovery experience.
• Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Shoveling, raking, tamping, walking, moving and setup of barricades
• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to work in a team setting
• Ability to work extended hours and days with no interruption
