Treasury Manager
Vernon, BC

Reporting to the Corporate Treasurer, and as part of the Treasury team, the Treasury Manager is responsible for the innovation in and oversight of corporate treasury. The individual is a key member of the team providing leadership in the areas of accounting, internal controls, and governance, across multiple reporting jurisdictions.

The Treasury Manageris responsible for all matters relating to treasury operations and cash management, administration, compliance and controls, audit, budget and forecast related assignments, hedging execution, mobile leasing programs, insurance accounting, pension accounting and audit, and property. The incumbent researches, analyzes, and makes recommendations in areas of responsibility and special assignments, including coordination of financing renewals and investment management. The incumbent provides backup for the Corporate Treasurer and team members as required and is responsible for departmental accounting, systems and internal controls in areas of responsibility.

The primary challenges of this position include the need to meet a variety of deadlines in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities as a result of business activity. The position requires strong finance, economic, and accounting skills, and a thorough understanding of information systems.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Minimum 8-10 years post CPA qualification experience in progressively senior positions
  • Public accounting experience considered an asset
  • Treasury and / or Pension experience considered an asset
  • Demonstrated Leadership and supervisory experience
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience in hiring and developing diverse teams
