Transportation Operations Manager

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the transportation operations of the company
- Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, including route planning and driver assignments
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws governing transportation operations
- Monitor and analyze transportation metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of transportation activities
- Manage and maintain relationships with transportation vendors and service providers
- Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures for transportation operations
- Train and supervise transportation staff, including drivers and logistics coordinators

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in transportation management or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, laws, and best practices
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Proficient in using transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

• Guelph, ON N1H 7G7 (preferred)

Ability to Relocate:
