Overview

Reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance department, the Training Coordinator will be responsible for providing expertise in training and maintaining the Training Program. The Training Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and promoting training programs designed to satisfy the Quality System Operation and training needs in compliance with facility, regulatory, and Capcium requirements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform the following day-to-day functions, but not limited to:
  • Maintain paper and electronic files associated with training.
  • Support plant training initiatives such as GMP Annual training or provide general GMP and SOP related training to all employees, and other roles if required.
  • Prepare training related records during regulatory agency inspections/audits.
  • Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts/Functional leaders within the facility to develop pragmatic and effective on-the-job training and/or individualized training plans meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Establishes and utilizes evaluation systems to measure and report on training effectiveness.
  • Identify, develop, and implement improvements.
  • Identify trends, develop, and implement corrective actions.
  • Benchmark best practices.
  • Ensure the integrity and traceability of all record generated and reported.
  • Generate new procedures and revise existing procedures, as required.
  • Develop and Report Quality Metrics for Training, as assigned.
  • Monitor and advise on training compliance within the facility, by providing regular reports to Quality Director.
  • Identify and implement improvements to the system based on best demonstrated practices, to ensure it is meeting corporate and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide regular reports on training compliance.
  • Back-up for this role is the Vice President of Quality & Compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, or relevant discipline
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience in QA and/or training within the Biopharmaceutical or Pharmaceutical regulated environment
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian GMP; knowledge of GPP is an asset
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and with the ability to prioritize
  • Ability to create presentations, procedures, and training aids that are impactful
  • Experience in classroom facilitation and instructional design principles/methodology
  • Demonstrates judgment, technical competence, and knowledge critical for role
  • Proficient computer skills with MS Office and able to create and Maintain Databases
  • Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Technical Writing skills/Procedure and Curriculum Development
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, enthusiastic individual who is results-oriented
  • Bilingual (French and English), spoken and written are essential
