Sentrex Wind Services Inc. is a leading service provider to the renewable energy industry. We are based in Quispamsis, New Brunswick and proudly serve clients throughout Canada.

We are presently seeking an experienced Tower Rigger – preferably on a contract basis – wages will reflect the contract nature of the position and be based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Installation of guyed lattice and self-support lattice towers for wind measurement, up to 150m in height.
• Maintenance work on lattice towers including, booms and instrument replacement and/or repair, P/T and decommissioning of towers with gin pole or crane depending on site
• Must be experienced rigger familiar with use of hydraulic winches and 1000lb capstans, who has worked aloft on towers above 40m
• Installation of tilt-up monopole towers for wind measurement, up to 80m in height.
• Self starter and smart

Travel throughout Canada is required so full vaccination and passports will be required

Job Requirements:

• Experience with tower erection and maintenance, including plumb and tension operations
• Excellent rigging skills
• Ability to travel extensively
• Working outside, at heights, often in the cold and in remote areas.
• Heavy lifting, manual work and must be proficient in use of tools.
• Good computer and communications skills
• Ability to read blueprints and documentation
• Good understanding of industry standard installation and safety guidelines
• Fluent in English, written and oral
• Valid driver’s license with clean abstract
• Ability to pass drug, alcohol and fitness tests
• Self-starter, positive attitude

Required Training and Experience

• 1 + years of relevant tower installation experience required.
• Tower climbing certification (flexible)
• Fall arrest and protection training and experience
• High angle rescue certification

Not mandatory, but would be considered assets:

• Experience with NRG tilt up towers
• Experience with wind measurement instrumentation

Wages, According to experience and skill level:

• Salary: $30/hr worked; negotiable based on experience/performance

Salary: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
