Drake International, is looking for a Terminal Manager for Caron Transportation in their Leduc, Alberta terminal. Reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager, the Terminal Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations at the terminal level including administration, employee management, maintenance, purchasing, customer relations, and safety. Additionally, the Terminal Manager will provide leadership and support to the terminal personnel through direction and delegation while ensuring operational goals are achieved.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for and oversees the full operations of the terminal
  • Employee Management Responsibilities
  • In conjunction with the Maintenance Facility Supervisor, maintenance responsibilities
  • Property Maintenance - Oversees seasonal/annual yard and grounds
  • Financial Responsibilities - Budgets, P&L’s and provide input on capital investments
  • Purchasing
  • Administrative
  • Sales
  • Health and Safety
  • Perform assigned tasks in accordance with Caron QMS and production standards required by the Caron and the industry as a whole
  • Transportation Operations – Analyze operations to maximize efficiency, provide industry expertise to staff
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor/management

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of directly related experience
  • Associates or Bachelors’ degree in a related field is preferred
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Strong customer relationship management/marketing/selling transportation and providing quality customer service
  • Problem solving and decision making – critical and analytical thinking skills
  • Efficient planning skills, strong organizational skills and must be able to prioritize and manage effectively and efficiently
  • Strong visual, verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills
