Telecom Analyst
Status:Non-Union, Full Time, Permanent

Reporting to:Manager of Infrastructure and End User Support

Position Summary:
Under the direction of Manager of Infrastructure & End User Support, the Telecom Analyst will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance and support of telephony infrastructure. This position will provide 24x7/365 technical and operational support to the Enterprise Telecommunication Infrastructure utilized by the company.

This position provides and assists with the technical architectural design and configuration to provide optimal performance and administration as per best practice. It requires the experience, judgment, business application, system knowledge and technical skill to plan and accomplish these goals.

eyAccountabilities include:
  • Provide network engineering and support on Cisco UC and Contact Center Platforms including: CUCM, CUC, UCCX, voice gateways, voice circuits;
  • Engineer, configure and lead the design, configuration, and deployment of all Unified Communications infrastructure;
  • Configure/troubleshoot/build profiles, etc. in a Cisco CUCM, UCCX solution;
  • Design, implement, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco Unified Communications Systems including: Call Manager/Unified Communications Manager and Contact Center Enterprises;
  • Designing call flows and ICM/CVP/CCX Scripting and experience with toll free carrier call delivery setup;
  • Responsible for implementation (build) of a variety of voice patterns including: Cisco and Contact Center applications and peripherals;
  • Install and configure Voice Gateways as part of the IP telephony system and voice call recording systems;
  • Install, maintain and troubleshooting of UHF/VHF radio station, equipment and first level support for satellite phones;
  • Analyze existing voice and data networks and recommend solutions;
  • Performing network maintenance and systems upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations;
  • Monitor performance and ensure systems availability and reliability, system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning;
  • Assess, design, and document technical requirements supporting business/RFP needs;
  • Working and collaborating in a team environment and with multiple telecomm providers;
  • Act as a secondary support for network related issues when lead network support is unavailable.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • University Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years’ experience in Expertise with Cisco Voice: VOIP Support and Implementation, Call Manager, Unity, Unity Connection,VG248, Conferencing, Dial Peer configuration, CSQ Callflows, Finesse, Skillset
  • 5+ years’ experience in Network Convergence, IP Telephony, Video Communications, Unified Messaging, Realtime Collaboration and IP Contact Center;
  • 5+ years’ experience in Cisco CallManage Express(CME), Cisco Unity Express(CUE), gateways, PSTN circuits, PSTN SIP Trunks, FXO, FXS, ISDN, and CUBE configurations.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Cisco CUCM dialplan, Route Patterns, CSS, Partitions, and Translation rules.
  • 5+ years’ experience scripting and managing complex phone systems;
  • Experience in Call Recording Technologies, SPAN and BIB Call Recordings
  • Experience in IOS, gateways, PSTN circuits, PSTN SIP Trunks, FXO, FXS, ISDN, and CUBE configurations.
  • Broad knowledge of principles of firewalls, wireless access controllers and access points, network access control systems, enforcing network security for wired, wireless.
  • Preferred to have valid Cisco certifications (CCNP COLAB 350-801, CCNA R/S 200-301)
  • Preferred to have knowledge in Radio technologies (PSRN, UHF, VHF)
  • Highly energetic, hands-on, results oriented work style combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Familiar with new and emerging voice technologies (VOIP, cloud adoption, Integration of PSTN and VOIP technologies)
  • Ability to plan and coordinate workload to meet multiple deadlines in a dynamic working environment;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Work effectively in a team environment.
