Job Description

Our client, a Canadian leader in the construction of renewable energy projects, is looking for a for a technical supervisor for its sites in Alberta. The main responsibilities of this person are to supervise the technical follow-ups of the installation work on the site.

Main responsibilities

• Propose, in collaboration with the General Superintendent and subcontractors, solutions to technical problems and non-conformities
• Plan the work in collaboration with the Project Manager, the General Superintendent and the site coordinators in order to determine the logistic needs of the site
• Follow up and update technical documents, purchasing inspections
• Review the execution procedures required for the project and issue the project method plans
• Validate the progress of the installation work and produce a follow-up report on a regular basis
• Perform visual inspection of damage and ensure safe lifting operations prior to lifting
• Assist the Superintendent and Facilities Coordinator in the coordination of turbine installation and cabling activities
• Develop and update the overall work program
  

Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or construction engineering or relevant college education
• 5 to 10 years’ experience in similar positions
