Reporting to the Operations Manager, this supervisory position will lead a small team of clerks and will be responsible for

We are currently seeking a Lead for our Counter Clerks.

Customer Service: help establish and implement customer service standards; supervise other customer facing agents, provide and report coaching when necessary

Resolving Customer Issues: find solutions to customer-related issues that are aligned with company policies while maintaining a customer-service orientated disposure

Operational Compliance: identify and report non-compliance to company policies, including safety-related issues, to management upon detection

Task Delegation: delegate various tasks both self-identified and as per management’s request

Sales: Identify and sell vehicle parts to customers, and notifying them of return policies

Inventory: Maintain records of incoming and outgoing items, assess and purchase vehicles while maintaining proper documentation

Requirements
  • Completion of High School or GED equivalent
  • 3-5 years Customer service experience required, previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or similar scrapyard/auto part environment will be considered an asset
  • Must have knowledge of automotive components
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including standing, walking, sitting, climbing, crawling, kneeling, bending, moderate to heavy lifting, and pushing and pulling
  • Computer literate with intermediate skill level for Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Organized and able to prioritize competing priorities
  • Strong communication skills, ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing and over mobile radio devices
  • Polite and friendly with a customer service orientation
  • Strong work ethic, uses time efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail with a keen knack for accuracy when inputting data
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends
  • Must possess work transportation as public transportation is not available to site
