The Tax Accountant is an integral member of the finance team and provides support to the Manager, Tax Services. The primary responsibilities include tax compliance reporting to the relevant tax authorities and tax provision preparation for financial statement purposes. The Tax Accountant will also provide support with tax planning and the overall tax strategy.

In order to be effective in this role, the Tax Accountant will work collaboratively with other departments, divisions, and external advisors to provide tax subject matter expertise, best practices and support to both Canadian and US operations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of relevant tax experience:
    • Tax accounting provisions;
    • Corporate tax (in a CCPC environment an asset);
    • Indirect tax;
    • Transfer pricing;
    • Tax planning.
    • Exposure to US and International tax an asset.
  • Industry experience considered an asset
  • University Degree and CPA designation
  • Completion of CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program considered an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and takes ownership of work.
  • Strong proficiency with computer applications: MS Office; tax preparation software and tax research tools; experience with JDE considered an asset.
