Availability Required:

  • Full time, 6-month contract
  • Monday to Friday, 8am/9am to 4:30pm/5:30pm

Role:

The Talent Acquisition / HR Assistant (6-Month Contract) will support the HR department with high-volume recruitment. The incumbent will mainly focus on recruiting entry-level production and warehouse roles for our Richmond produce processing facility, and may have the opportunity to support other produce wholesale/distribution locations (e.g. Vancouver, Nanaimo) as well as other roles per business needs.

The incumbent will mainly work out of the Richmond location and may be required to travel to the Vancouver locations per business needs. While majority of the work is performed in an office setting, the incumbent need to occasionally access the warehouse (around 5 degrees C) per business needs.

This would be a great opportunity for a new HR grad who is looking to gain their first HR experience in the area of talent acquisition. The successful incumbent must be a proactive team-player who can work well with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct full cycle recruitment (post jobs, source and interview candidates, draft offer letters, conduct background check) and ensure optimal candidate experience
  • Build relationship with community partners and explore different avenues to connect with the right candidate pool
  • Provide practical recommendations which enables the achievement of optimal staffing levels within a timely manner
  • Provide general support to the HR team per business needs

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in HR, business management, or a related field
  • High-volume recruitment, customer service and office experience are considered a great asset
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, communication, detail-orientation, and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in a 2nd language is a great asset
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and relevant computer applications

Contract length: 6 months
