System Specialists - C4ISR

Job content

We are building a team of Systems Specialists to support a long term engineering project lead by ADGA.

Tasks include:

• Review, analyze, and provide recommendations on SoS (System of Systems), systems and subsystem interface documentation.
• Recommend system and/or SoS level solutions for discrepancies, deficiencies, and changes to equipment and specifications.
• Liaise with subsystem technical groups to ensure system and/or SoS integrity, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Provide system and/or SoS integration, analysis, and evaluation support.
• Prepare the planning and procurement support documentation for LC4ISR systems and/or SoS.
• Review, analyze, and provide recommendations relating to LC4ISR systems and/or SoS components and associated documentation.
• Conduct design, technical, and management reviews to monitor, advise, and report on progress and potential problems.
• Conduct and/or witness system and/or SoS integration testing and evaluation.
• Conduct technical definition studies and options analysis; and
• Perform any other work related to this category.
  
  

Education requirements:

• Proof of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) Bachelor's degree for diploma (2 year minimum) in networking, software, computer, systems, electrical or in another suitable engineering or technical field.

Domain Experience: (at least 7 years experience required in at least 4 of the following)

• Demonstrated work experience in planning, configuring, employing and managing command and control communication and info systems in a distributing platform environment or within a client/server environment, or with ISTAR systems
• Demonstrated work experience in identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex communication and info systems and/or ISTAR system problems.
• Demonstrated work experience in analyzing, designing and/or implementing solutions for communication and info systems or ISTAR systems.
• Demonstrated work experience in developing and documenting system management solutions (tools and processes) for command and control communication and info systems in mobile platforms or within a client/server environment or ISTAR systems.
• Demonstrated work experience in a system integration, verification and validation, for hardware and software components (COTS and/or custom developed) in new or existing systems.
• Demonstrated work experience in life-cycle management of tactical communication and info systems, or ISTAR systems.

Defence System Project Experience:

• A minimum of 3-4 years of demonstrated experience as a System Specialist on Military C4ISR systems.

Writing:

• A minimum of 7 years of demonstrated experience within the last 9 years in the preparation of technical concept documents, system specifications, and technical proposals in the field of Information Technology / Information Management or Engineering.

Communications: (at least 4 years experience within at least 3 of the following)

• Communicate information technology frameworks and strategies to management and technical staff.
• Communicate system engineering direction for projects or systems.
• Provide advice, guidance, and recommendations on technical issues to support the decision-making of senior management.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams in the development of IT tactical systems, frameworks or strategies.
• Perform strategic, operational, or tactical planning for projects or systems to meet corporate strategy.
  
  

• Currently pool building a team of System Analysts.
• Contract length potential - 5 years with the potential for a multi-year extension.
• Must hold a valid "Secret" clearance to start (will process for candidates that are being strongly considered) and will need the Controlled Goods Certificate at point of hire.
• Full grids/matrices will be provided on individual basis.
