Metropolitan Regional Housing Authority is recruiting for a Temporary, Casual Receptionist/Switchboard position. This position offers full-time hours for a period of up to 5 months ending in February 2022. This is a bargaining unit position represented by NSGEU Local 47.

Duties:

Under the direction of the Client Services Manager, the Switchboard/Receptionist provides effective and efficient switchboard and receptionist service to the callers and visitors of Metropolitan Regional Housing Authority (MRHA).

Qualifications

Qualifications:

You will have Grade 12 or high school equivalent plus, three years’ related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. You must demonstrate computer skills and ability or must demonstrate competency in desktop software including Microsoft Office. You must have sound knowledge of switchboard operations and procedures used in routing, rerouting, and placement of calls. You exhibit a high level of professionalism and excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to communicate by telephone and in person with a diverse client group. You have strong organizational skills to track and document files and time-management skills to set priorities and meet deadlines and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment. You have experience maintaining client information on computer systems and proficient keyboarding skills.

Assets:

Knowledge of Yardi Property Management software. Good knowledge of policies, procedures, and operations of the Metropolitan Regional Housing Authority.

We will assess the above qualifications using one of more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.
