Job Description: Report, manage and track key environmental performance indicators for Honda Canada’s Office buildings and warehouses across Canada (Waste Diversion, Green House Gas Emissions, Electricity, Natural Gas and Water usage). Define targets, research, plan and provide support for projects that reduce natural resource use and improve office Environmental Sustainability, staying current with best practices and applicable legislative requirements. Serve as the subject matter expert for all things environmentally related to our office, to support various business information requests as well as being the primary liaison with outside environmentally related vendors (waste vendors, utility companies) to ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly and that we are maximizing the efforts of our natural resource reduction plans. Coordinate and manage hazardous waste removal. Develop and plan associate engagement events and materials regarding environment and sustainability.

Ensure workstation reconfigurations are standard in our building. Coordinate reconfigurations with other trades such as electrician, movers, installers and share info for cabling job. Schedule moves and update floor plans monthly to be able to determine associate location in case of an emergency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Environmental reporting and data collection
  • Alternative fuel vehicles/carpool program and sustainable commuting
  • Research, plan and manage projects that improve office environmental sustainability for all zone offices
  • Vendor & Contract management for services related to environmental and space planning related activities
  • Planning engagement/education activities related to environmental causes or initiatives
  • Budgeting and administrative activities
  • Supporting environmental activities in the zone offices
  • Facilities space planning for National and Zone offices

QUALIFICATIONS: *

  • Completed Bachelor of Science degree and/or related experience / environmental related accreditations
  • 1-3 years’ experience in waste auditing, project management, principle of environment and sustainability and data reporting
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Excel is required
  • Excellent research, reporting and data analysis ability is required
  • Must have excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred
