About the role: *
The Support Field Engineer will own the relationship with sitehosts when they’re experiencing hardware issues, and work closely with them to resolve the issues at hand.

The Support Field Engineer will work closely with many departments, including the Tier 2 support team, the hardware testing team, and the Customer Success team to ensure issues are known, captured, and resolved.

Support Field Engineer responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues experienced by site hosts through:
  • Checking configurations
  • Pulling logs from hardware
  • Communicating with the site hosts to execute scheduled troubleshooting steps
  • Make recommendations for infrastructure improvements
  • Communicating with site hosts, and resellers where applicable to ensure all efforts are known, and agreed upon before executing
  • Work closely with Engineering, specifically the hardware testing team, to report issues back to hardware vendors, and ensure that all potential bugs in firmware are captured appropriately.
  • Occasional on site travel may be required

The ideal candidate will have:

Qualifications

  • University degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience troubleshooting hardware and software
  • Bilingual (French/English) preferred
  • Previous experiencing with EVs preferred
  • Successful completion of a background check (coordinated by us)
  • Located within the GTA or surroundings
